Specsavers in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Part Time Licensed Optician to help customers see and look their best. You will guide eyewear choices, dispense accurately, and collaborate with retail and clinical teams to ensure a memorable visit.

Responsibilities include dispensing measurements, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting after-care and promotions. This role offers weekend availability and a focus on customer experience in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the College of Opticians and hold a valid Dispensing Optician License in your province.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in an optical dispensary.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, stay organized under pressure.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through eyewear choices to ensure comfort, style and optimal function.
• Perform accurate dispensing measurements using digital tools and conduct quality checks on eyewear.
• Maintain knowledge of frames, lenses, treatments and current promotions.
• Handle after-care services and resolve complaints with effective problem-solving techniques.
• Support contact lens recommendations and store promotions as directed by the Store Manager.
• Manage third-party billing professionally.
• Coach and support team members in developing optical knowledge and skills.
• Contribute to daily store operations, including inventory management and upholding brand standards.
