Specsavers in Edmonton is seeking a Licensed Optician to guide customers through eyewear choices and ensure each pair is tailored for comfort and function. You’ll work with retail and clinical teams to deliver high-quality eyecare and customer experiences.

The role involves dispensing measurements, knowledge of promotions, and after-care support, with a strong focus on building lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the College of Opticians and hold a valid Dispensing Optician License in your province.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in an optical dispensary.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and stay organized under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in understanding visual needs and prescriptions.
• Provide guidance on frame and lens selection for comfort, style, and fit.
• Conduct dispensing measurements and quality checks using digital tools.
• Maintain knowledge of frames, lenses, treatments, and current promotions.
• Manage after-care and resolve complaints with effective problem-solving.
• Support contact lens recommendations and promotions as directed.
• Handle third-party billing professionally.
• Coach and support team members in optical knowledge.
• Contribute to daily store operations and uphold Specsavers values.
