Job summary

LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is seeking a Lab Patient Technician in Ontario on a part-time basis. You will greet patients, perform phlebotomy and ECG tracings, and prepare specimens for testing while maintaining patient confidentiality and quality standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, empathy, and the ability to handle busy environments. Weekend availability is required, with a focus on accurate data entry and exemplary patient service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent is preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is an asset.
• ECG training or experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and inform patients about the specimen collection process.
• Perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing; ensure test protocol compliance.
• Maintain client/patient relationships and respond to inquiries.
• Complete data entry of patient demographics and requisitions.
