Job summary

Sainty in Sudbury, ON is seeking a Part Time Intervenor to support people who are deafblind, assisting with communication and daily living to promote independent living.

Shifts include days, afternoons, evenings, overnights and weekends on a rotational schedule; wage starts at $24.31/hour plus benefit plan and RRSP matching. Training is provided; must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and have a valid G driver’s license.

Qualifications

• ASL or SEE communication proficiency.
• Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities or challenging behaviours.
• Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in home and community environments.
• Relay information using appropriate communication techniques.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care as needed.
• Help with goals, program development and documentation.
• Ensure records are complete and up to date.
• Participate in in-house training program.
