Sensity is seeking a Part Time Intervenor to support people who are deafblind in Oro-Medonte, ON. The role focuses on enabling independence through communication support and daily living assistance, with training provided.

The position requires ASL/SEE communication, relevant education, and a valid driver’s license. Benefits include health spending, RRSP matching, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Formación

• Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or related human services credential.
• Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours.
• Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
• ASL or Signed Exact English communication.
• Valid driver's license Class G and ability to obtain insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Support individuals in home and community environments to promote independence.
• Use communication techniques to relay information effectively.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care and routine tasks.
• Document and maintain records accurately.
• Contribute to program development and goal setting.
