Job summary

The Gabriel Dumont Institute, as part of the Saskatoon education community, invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor position in the Practical Nursing program to cover a leave replacement. The instructor will deliver practical, theoretical and clinical instruction for the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Practical Nursing program and supervise labs for adult learners in long term and acute care settings.

Qualifications

• CRNS active status eligibility required for the role.
• Two years of recent acute care experience is an asset.

The Dumont Technical Institute, a division of Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, invites applications for the following position:

Part-Time Instructor – Practical Nursing Program – Leave Replacement

Responsibilities:

To provide practical, theoretical and clinical instruction of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Practical Nursing program. Instructor will provide program support for adult students in the areas of long term and acute care settings. Ensure the planning and delivery of nursing skills courses and instructional assistance with labs. Attend scheduled meetings and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a Degree in Nursing. Eligible for registration (active status) with the CRNS, have up to date TLR certificate. Candidates are subject to approval by Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The instructor will have excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Two (2) years of recent acute care experience would be considered an asset.

Remuneration: GDI Faculty 2 pay grid $72,038 – $94,798 (pro-rated for part-time)

Term: Fall 2026 to November 2027
