Job summary

Acosta Group is seeking a part-time Sales and Merchandising Representative to drive in-store execution, direct sales, and POS placement within grocery and mass channels. You will build retailer relationships, negotiate promotions, and manage displays while traveling as needed across the defined territory.

Ideal candidates have grocery experience, strong communication and presentation skills, and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Sales experience required.
• Retail channel experience in grocery and mass retail preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Weekday availability 8am–5pm.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Solid presentation and objection-handling abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience in territory management.
• Willingness to travel (overnight as needed).
• Organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable internet access and ability to manage administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assertive selling and in-store execution across assigned territory.
• Negotiate sales, place orders, and support promotions.
• Build and maintain displays and POP materials; ensure planogram compliance.
• Develop relationships with key retail contacts and drive distribution for core items and new products.
• Deliver retail coverage per plan and manage call frequency.
• Resolve store issues promptly and professionally.
• Occasional overnight travel as territory requires.
