A leading education provider in Toronto is seeking a Part-time High School Math & Science Teacher/Tutor. The role involves teaching up to three students simultaneously and adhering to specific curricula for Grades 9 to 12. Qualifications

Position

Part‑time High School Math & Science Teacher/Tutor – Oxford Learning Rosedale, Toronto, Ontario.

Job Type and Compensation

Employment Type: Part‑time. Pay: $17.20 to $20.00 per hour.

Schedule

• After‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm), Monday‑Thursday.
• Saturday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.
• Commitment until the end of June; continuing through the summer preferred.

Location

Oxford Learning Rosedale – 44 St Clair Ave., 2nd Floor, Rosedale, ON. This is a fully in‑person position; relocation packages are not available.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to three students at a time at different levels, both online and in‑person.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill post‑lesson notes and provide daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of Grades 9–12 math and science curriculum, including Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9–12 (or equivalent) level.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

Requirements

All teacher‑tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (9:00 am – 2:00 pm). Availability until the end of June is required; continuing through the summer is even better. Reliable attendance is a must. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
