Oxford Learning is seeking a part-time High School English Teacher/Tutor for our Rosedale learning centre. The role involves teaching up to three students at a time, in-person after school and some Saturdays, following our proprietary methods, and providing post-lesson notes and daily updates.

Relocation not offered; a commitment through June is preferred. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, English proficiency, and the ability to commute to the Rosedale location.

Qualifications

• Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Grade 9 to Grade 12 curriculum.

Part-Time High School English Teacher/Tutor

Passionate about puns? Love literature? All about alliteration? Eager to help students succeed in English? Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Rosedale is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in this area.

Tutor‑teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher‑Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00 am – 2:00 pm). A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
