Job summary

AgeCare South Terrace in Edmonton seeks a Health Care Aide to join the care team, delivering safe, resident-centered basic care under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse. You will observe, report changes, and contribute to the Nursing Care Plan to address individual needs.

The role requires completion of a Health Care Aide program (or provincial equivalent with 500 hours theory/practicum), experience with seniors, and strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Health Care Aide program or equivalent with minimum 500 hours theory & practicum.
• Experience working with seniors in community health settings is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-focused care under supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition promptly.
• Contribute to Nursing Care Plan by sharing observations and needs.
• Assist and accompany residents in mobility and community activities.
• Ensure safety and report unsafe activities or risks.
