Job summary

The Grizzly Paw Pub and Brewing Co. is seeking an outgoing, knowledgeable team member for a part-time role in Canmore. This night-focused position involves delivering memorable guest experiences, managing the dining room and supporting the management team to uphold standards and service excellence.

You will supervise a small team, coordinate with kitchen and floor staff, and uphold grooming, safety and sanitation policies. Prior supervisory experience and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Clear communication with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
• Able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods (up to 9 hours).

Responsibilities

• Manage floor plan.
• Ensure opening/closing duties with a checklist.
• Enforce grooming policy and uniform standards.
• Follow-up on phone messages.
• Maintain integrity of point of sale.
• Greet and escort guests with a professional attitude.
• Oversee flow of guests and service load.
• Gauge guest satisfaction with table checks.
• Manage waitlist and seating flow.
• Coordinate with kitchen and floor staff.
• Maintain restaurant ambience and cleanliness.
• Handle guest queries and complaints proactively.
• Advise guests on menu, beverages, especially beer.
• Support management to create memorable guest experiences.
• Balance tills, cash-outs and deposits.
• Perform other duties as required and train colleagues.
