Job summary

Bridgette Bar Canmore is seeking an experienced bartender to join the team on a full-time permanent basis in Canmore, AB. You will provide exceptional customer service, follow liquor laws, stock and maintain the bar, and prepare syrups and garnishes. Weekdays availability is required.

Our chef-driven bar offers creative cocktails, craft beers, wine, and wood-fired fare in a historic setting. You will uphold high standards of cleanliness, teamwork, and guest experience in a vibrant mountain-town

Qualifications

• Experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of liquor regulations and responsible service.

Responsibilities

• Create, mix, pour, garnish, and serve beverages for bar and restaurant guests.
• Consistently execute drink production principles and follow recipes.
• Provide the highest level of customer service and maintain a professional image.
• Build and maintain regular clientele.
• Adapt to different personalities of clients, vendors, and coworkers to maintain high service levels.
• Ensure all services and orders are charged correctly.
• Maintain cost and portion controls to meet profit goals.
• Keep surfaces and equipment clean and in good condition per preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure drink times align with restaurant guidelines.
• Assist in table service as a main duty.
• Assist in placing product orders and ensure fresh product through updated order guides.
• Fully understand and comply with health, safety, and labor regulations for the restaurant.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Bridgette Bar Canmore is looking for an experienced bartender to fill out their team on a full-time permanent basis. Bartenders are responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, providing exceptional customer service to all guests in a prompt and friendly manner, following all laws and regulations regarding liquor service, stocking the bar and cooler, setting up and taking down the bar completely, and preparing all the bar syrups, and garnishes. Must be available weekdays.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create, mix, pour, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the bar and restaurant guests.
• Consistently execute drink production principles and practices, ensuring that all recipes and practices are followed.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, while maintaining a personable and professional image representative of the restaurant’s values.
• Building and maintaining regular clientele.
• Adapt to different personalities of clients, vendors, and coworkers to maintain high service levels and efficient operations.
• Ensure all services and orders delivered within the bar operation are charged for correctly.
• Maintain effective cost and portion controls to meet profit goals.
• Ensure all surfaces and equipment are kept clean and in excellent condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure drink times are in line with the restaurant guidelines.
• Assist in table service as a main duty.
• Assist in placing product orders and ensure fresh product through a detailed and updated order guide.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
• Work overtime when needed and assist the workload of others.
• Execute ad-hoc administrative and operational duties are required.
