Job summary

Bridgette Bar Canmore is seeking a Front of House Expo to join our team on a part-time or full-time permanent basis. The Expo will work mainly on the line to organize dishes, communicate with kitchen and servers, and ensure accurate, efficient delivery to tables, creating a smooth guest experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience preferred but not required.
• Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
• Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Basic math skills, can handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Valid Alberta ProServe certification obtained within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Working on the line to organize and coordinate dishes, while communicating with the kitchen and servers to ensure food is delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Checking dishes for accuracy, presentation and completeness before they leave the kitchen.
• Running food to the appropriate tables when required.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of the menu and being able to describe dishes to guests.
• Keeping the pass and surrounding areas clean, organized and stocked.
• Supporting servers and other Front of House team members throughout service.
• Assisting with table maintenance and general restaurant upkeep.
• Contributing to a positive, welcoming and efficient guest experience.
• Be ready and willing to provide support as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the FOH Manager.
• Execute any other tasks required.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Bridgette Bar Canmore is looking for a Front of House Expo, to join our team on a part-time or full-time permanent basis. The Expo would be primarily working on the line to organize and coordinate dishes, while communicating with the kitchen and servers, and would be responsible for ensuring food is delivered accurately and efficiently to tables, creating a smooth guest experience. This is an entry-level Front of House position and experience is an asset, but is not required. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Valid Alberta ProServe certification obtained within 30 days of starting.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Mustbe over 18 as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement.
