Temporary Part-Time Support Staff, new position (September 8, 2026 - April 30, 2027)
Reporting to the Manager, Accessibility Services, the Educational Assistant works collaboratively within an interdisciplinary Student Success Services team to support students with disabilities in accessing and participating fully in their academic environment.
The incumbent provides individualized assistance that promotes student success, independence, and inclusion, including support with understanding classroom instruction, physical navigation, note-taking, accessing online materials, in-class redirection, and setting up or taking down workspaces and adaptive equipment. Through a student-centred approach, the Educational Assistant helps reduce barriers to learning and fosters an accessible and supportive educational experience
Successful candidates must be available to work on-site, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:00am and 7:00pm. The Part-Time Educational Assistant will be scheduled for 24 hours per week. Successful candidates will be based out of Conestoga’s Doon Campus, located at 299 Doon Valley Dr. Kitchener. The schedule is subject to change with proper notice.
