Job summary

Heritage Christian Online School in Victoria, BC is seeking an Education Assistant to support a Grade 11 fully modified life skills program for the 2026-27 school year. This part-time contract role offers 13+ hours per week with schedules: Mon-Thu 1:30-4:00 pm and Fri 12:30-4:00 pm, in-home with the student.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, and assisting with IEP goals, in collaboration with the Case Manager and parent. Strong communication and tech skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Background working in Education, EA Support, Behaviour Intervention, or with children/youth with ASD and PDA.
• Valid Certified Educational Assistant certificate (or training in progress).
• Know or willing to learn AAC, safe transfers and mobility support.
• Demonstrate alignment with team goals and supportive collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, and supporting mobility, dressing, feeding, toileting and functional communication.
• Collaborating with the Case Manager and the parent to support personalized learning opportunities.
• Assisting in carrying out IEP goals, working alongside the broader student support team.
