Job summary

CHEK ABC is seeking a passionate Educational Assistant to provide individualized support to two students in their home-based learning environments in British Columbia.

Rate per hour ranges from $23 to $29. Ideal candidates will have or be pursuing an Educational Assistant certificate, with experience or interest in AAC tools and emotional regulation supports, and the ability to travel to students' homes.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or Behaviour Intervention training is an asset but not required.
• Experience supporting students who use AAC tools and strategies, as well as emotional regulation supports, is an asset but not required.
• Experience using TouchChat is considered an asset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a home-based learning environment.
• Ability to travel to and work at the student's home-based learning location.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate Educational Assistant to provide individualized support to two (2) students in their home-based learning environments.

Rate per hour: $23 to $29

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Assistant Certificate/Behaviour Intervention training is an asset but not required
• Experience supporting students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools and strategies, as well as emotionalregulation supports, is an asset but not required.
• Experience using TouchChat is considered an asset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a home-based learning environment.
• Ability to reliably travel to and work at the student's home-based learning location.
