Job summary

Metroland Media in Hamilton is seeking a part-time Group 1 editor to join our central production team. You will gather, edit and proof content for multiple print products, work evenings and weekends, and ensure headlines and copy meet CP style and accuracy.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, deadline-driven and able to collaborate with reporters and designers. Experience with NewsGate or Cue Print is a strong asset, and a journalism degree or diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Journalism or related field.
• Experience in journalism or public relations.
• Experience in a newspaper page production environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication; attentive listening.
• Team-oriented and proactive.
