Job summary

Metro is seeking a Support Pharmacist to provide direct patient care in Ottawa, Kanata & Nepean. This part-time position requires dispensing, counseling and supervising the dispensary when the Pharmacy Manager is away.

You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, ensure store standards, manage inventory, and uphold company policies while delivering exceptional customer service across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Education – B.Sc. Phm. Degree (4-year University Pharmacy Program).
• Licensure – Registered Part A Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Injection certified, Smoking Cessation certified and registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Proficient with current PC systems, MS Office programs and pharmacy software (Kroll).
• Interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional activities of dispensing, patient counseling and pharmacy services.
• Satisfy dispensary orders and ensure accurate medication dispensing.
• Supervise the dispensary in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager and maintain store standards.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to provide patient care.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints and ensure excellent service.
