Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Ottawa is seeking a Casual Part Time Dishwasher at Windsor Park, 990 Hunt Club Road. Reports to the Culinary Manager and ensures all dishes are loaded, washed, and stored properly.

You will maintain a clean kitchen area, mop floors, and assist with equipment cleaning, while respecting Resident Rights and participating in in-service training and staff meetings. English literacy is required; background check may be requested.

Qualifications

• Empathy for and ability to get along with the elderly and the handicapped.
• Ability to understand and follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Ability to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Load, operate and empty dishwashers and store dishes.
• Maintain a clean cooking area including surfaces, stoves and ovens.
• Damp mop floors and clean kitchen equipment such as blenders and refrigerators.
• Perform duties with cleanliness in mind and respect Resident Rights & Responsibilities.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Program and work respectfully with residents.
