Job summary

Sensity is seeking a part-time Intervenor in Caistorville, ON to support individuals living with dual sensory impairment. The role involves assisting with communication, daily living activities, personal care, and community participation, enabling independence and growth.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in Intervenor for Deafblind or related human services field.
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours.
  • Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
  • Requires ASL or SEE communication.
  • Must have a valid G class driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Support communication and daily living for individuals living with dual sensory impairment.
  • Assist in home and community activities to promote independence.
  • Relay information using appropriate communication techniques.
  • Assist with personal care, meals, hygiene and mobility as needed.
  • Develop and support individual goals and program activities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and records.
