Job summary

Sensity is hiring an Intervenor to support individuals with dual sensory impairment in Hillsdale, Ontario. The role involves helping clients live independently, using ASL or SEE, and coordinating personal care and daily activities.

The position offers full-time hours (36–40 per week) with shift options including days, afternoons, evenings, overnights and weekends, plus a benefits package and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or related human services field.
• Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and mental health conditions.
• ASL or SEE communication required, valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in home and community environments to promote independence.
• Relay information using appropriate communication techniques.
• Assist with daily living, meal prep, hygiene, and mobility as needed.
• Document and maintain records and progress notes.
• Support with program development and goal achievement.
• Participate in ongoing in-house training and skill development.
