Job summary

Extendicare is hiring a PSW/HCA/CCA to provide direct personal support and care to residents in our long-term care homes across Canada. You will assist with ambulation, feeding, bathing, grooming, and support the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of residents in accordance with care plans.

Qualifications

• PSW certification required and meets standards for the position.
• Experience in long-term care or community home care with dementia/palliative exposure preferred.
• Knowledge of care planning systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal support (ambulation, feeding, bathing, grooming).
• Assist in fulfilling physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents.
• Communicate positively with staff, residents/patients, and families.
