Job summary

Nurse Next Door is hiring caregivers in Canada for home-based care. The role supports Happier Aging and delivers compassionate, personalized care to clients in their homes across Alberta.

You will build genuine relationships, follow care plans, and provide activities that promote independence and comfort. We value growth, flexibility, and a supportive environment, with 24/7 scheduling assistance and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized nursing program and current CLPNA registration.
• 1 year of nursing experience.
• Proficient in English, spoken and written.
• Legal to work in Canada; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
• Work within your experience while maintaining safe, competent practice.
• Complete records and documentation accurately.
• Perform wound care, medication administration, and other tasks within the LPN scope of practice.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Perform wound care, medication administration, and other tasks within the LPN scope of practice

Requirements

• 1 year previous nursing experience
• Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Graduate of a recognized nursing program, and current registration with the CLPNA
• Current TB Screen, CPR and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license is required
