Job summary

Nurse Next Door in Edmonton is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients at home, delivering personal care, medication assistance, and health monitoring as part of our Happier Aging philosophy.

You will work with private clients across the Edmonton SW area, Leduc, Devon, Beaumont, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts available (maximum 12 hour shifts). The role offers hourly pay and a benefits package for 30+ hours worked per week.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior caregiving experience is an asset.
• Ability to communicate in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proof of LPN certification (CLPNA registry #).
• Current TB screen and annual criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to clients including medication administration, vitals, monitoring health and ADLs as needed.
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment at all times.
• Maintain accurate and thorough records and documentation.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide care to clients such as medication administration, vitals, monitoring client’s health as well as ADL’s if required. Tasks may include wound care, delegation of complex tasks to Health Care Aides
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• We service Edmonton SW area, Leduc, Devon, Beaumont, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray
• Looking for all visit times; day, evening, night, weekdays and weekends shifts available ( maximum 12 hour shifts )

Requirements

• 1 year previous experience an asset
• Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Proof of LPN Certification ( CLPNA Registry #)
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check, within the year
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
