Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Canada is seeking a licensed practical nurse for casual, 1:1 home care with private clients. You’ll perform standard nursing tasks, including insulin administration and wound care, within care plans and with strong teamwork.

The role requires active BCCNM registration, a valid driver’s license, and legal work status in Canada; TB screen and criminal record check are also required. Flexible hours, paid mileage, and 24/7 support are offered.

Qualifications

• Comfort going into patients' homes for 1:1 care.
• Current TB screen and criminal record check.
• Must be able to work legally in Canada to apply.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for an LPN that is looking for casual hours with home visits.
• Review care plans arranged by the case manager before visits; perform insulin administration, wound care, and related tasks.
• Respond to Leadership Team regarding scheduling inquiries and updates within the timeline.
• Engage with your Care Designer to elevate client experience and care.
• Deliver comprehensive professional nursing care per the care plan and assessments.

Responsibilities And Duties

• We are looking for an LPN that is looking for casual hours. Some of the LPN hours would include wound care, IM injections, Insulin and other standard nursing tasks.
• Reviews the care plans arranged by the case manager (Care Designer) prior to beginning a visit, completing records accurately and carrying out all assignments as requested such as insulin administration, catheter insertion and removal, medication administration (IM/Sub-Cut), wound care, etc.
• Responds to Leadership Team regarding scheduling inquiries and updates within the agreed upon timeline
• Engages in open communication with your Care Designer when opportunities to elevate your client’s experience and care are identified
• Delivers comprehensive professional nursing care consistent with the care plan, nursing assessments and client needs.

Requirements

• Practicing and active registration with BCCNM
• Feel comfortable going into peoples homes to provide 1:1 care
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license is required
