Job summary

Shaw GMC in Calgary, Alberta, part of the Kaizen Automotive Group, is seeking a Part-Time Cash Office Clerk to support daily cash handling and financial recordkeeping. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and independent evening/weekend shifts to keep the cash office running smoothly.

You will count and reconcile cash, deposits, and card transactions, prepare deposits, and maintain secure records while providing general administrative support as required.

Qualifications

• Previous cash office, bookkeeping, cashier, or retail cash-handling experience preferred.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately reconcile cash and identify discrepancies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Count, verify, and reconcile daily cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and balance cash deposits accurately and in a timely manner.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies and reporting variances.
• Maintain accurate records of cash office activities and financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company cash-handling policies and security procedures.
• Complete daily, weekly, and month-end cash reports.
• Provide administrative support, filing, and data entry as required.
• Communicate with management regarding cash shortages, overages, or process concerns.
