Job summary

Westside Recreation Centre in Calgary offers a part-time, hourly position responsible for maintaining the building's mechanical and pool systems, HVAC, and performing preventative maintenance. You will handle pool and mechanical operations, boiler work, and general maintenance such as painting, drywall, carpentry, tile work, and minor electrical and plumbing, with daily assessment of repair needs.

Qualifications

• Building Operator B or 5th Class Steam Engineer ticket required.
• Pool Operator Level I is an asset.
• Current Intermediate First Aid/CPR/AED Certification required.
• Preference for candidates with recreational building maintenance experience.

This part-time, hourly position is responsible to maintain the buildings mechanical and pool systems, HVAC systems and performing preventative maintenance on building equipment at Westside Recreation Centre.

Responsibilities include:

• Pool and mechanical operations
• Maintain HVAC systems
• Boiler operations
• Preventative maintenance
• General maintenance such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, tile work, and minor electrical and plumbing
• Determine building and mechanical repair needs daily
• Determine safety needs for building and equipment to ensure safety
• Complete work orders
• Good knowledge in Building Management Systems

Work Term

• Part-time, up to 25 hours a week
• Afternoon, evening and weekend work is required

Qualifications/Skills Required

• Building Operator B ticket or 5 th Class Steam Engineers ticket
• Pool Operator Level I is an asset
• Current Intermediate First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
• Preference will be given to those with recreational building maintenance experience
