Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls)
• Keep bakery department stocked and ready for business
• Ensure items are signed and priced properly
• Follow cold chain standards, thermometer calibration, temperature records, and food safety procedures
• Follow sanitation and cleaning procedures as required
• Handle ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging, labeling, and pricing
• Prepare bakery merchandise according to thawing and baking guidelines
• Ensure displays are secured and safe

Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.8.
