Job summary

Walmart Canada in Scarborough, ON is seeking a Bakery Associate to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the bakery area and assisting with stocking and sales of bakery goods. This role supports a fast-paced retail environment at 799 Milner Ave, Scarborough.

The position starts at the minimum pay rate of $18.05 per hour, with opportunities for growth within the Bakery Department and Walmart Canada stores.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge preferred.
• Able to maintain bakery area and rotate stock.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls).
• Ensure department is fully stocked and ready for business.
• Ensure merchandise is signed and priced correctly.
• Adhere to cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations, temperature logs, food handling and dating rules.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing and labeling.
• Prepare bakery items by thawing/baking per guidelines to ensure quality and appearance.
• Ensure displays are secured safely.
