Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a Temporary fixed Term Part-Time Activity Aide to deliver one-to-one and group activation programs for residents. The role supports activity planning, setup, transport, and coordination with nursing staff, while maintaining records and collaborating with other departments.

Candidates should have a post-secondary diploma in recreation or related field, strong communication skills, and experience with geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate individual and group activation programs per needs and guidance from management.
• Set up activity areas, transport residents, monitor behaviour and report changes to staff.
• Maintain resident and program records per policy and communicate participation to staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs.
