Town of Olds seeks a Supervisor – Parks to lead five permanent Parks Operators and seasonal staff, overseeing parks, fields, trails and outdoor facilities on-site. You’ll guide scheduling, coaching, and safety across a dynamic outdoor team.

You’ll coordinate seasonal maintenance, supervise turf care, irrigation, and equipment operation while ensuring Town standards are met. A post-secondary credential in landscape horticulture or a journeyperson in horticulture is preferred.

Competenze

• Experience supervising multiple crews in parks or landscaping operations.
• Post-secondary certificate/diploma in landscape horticulture or equivalent.
• Knowledge of turf care, irrigation, and equipment operation.

Mansioni

• Lead crew: assign work, coordinate schedules, coach employees, ensure safe daily operations.
• Maintain parks, fields, trees, trails, outdoor facilities with turf/irrigation knowledge.
• Operate ride-on mowers and tractors safely while guiding staff.
• Plan seasonal maintenance and contracted work, upholding Town standards.
• Coordinate inspections, address hazards, respond to inquiries via PSD Citywide.
