Parks & Facilities Technician - Multi-Site Maintenance

Job summary

Norfolk County is seeking a Parks and Facilities Maintenance team member to help keep our parks, arenas, pools and community spaces safe, clean and welcoming across Southwestern Ontario. You will perform a range of operations and seasonal maintenance, from building upkeep to ice surface management and cemetery work.

The role requires physical stamina, flexibility to work varied hours, and a valid Ontario driver's license.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or GED equivalent
• Basic Arena Refrigeration certification is an asset or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• NSPF Certified Pool/Spa Operator Course is an asset
• Two years or more relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair arenas, libraries, museums, cemeteries, and community centres
• Operate ice resurfacer and manage ice surface maintenance
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs (carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical)
• Assist with setup for events and hall rentals; ensure safety compliance
