Reporting directly to the Parks Supervisor, this temporary role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of public parks, recreational areas, and green spaces. You will assist in landscaping maintenance, facility upkeep, and providing excellent customer service to park visitors. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of park facilities. The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable professional with a high school diploma; post-secondary education in Landscape Technician or a related field is an asset. Our ideal candidate has experience in outdoor recreation, landscaping, or park maintenance and is proficient in operating and maintaining basic park equipment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to perform physical labor tasks, adhere to safety guidelines, and work well within a team environment. We are seeking an individual with superior communication skills, a demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently, and excellent problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate for Parks Maintenance (TFT) will be required to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, depending on the park’s needs and event schedules.
This position offers a salary of $28.09 per hour based on a 40-hour work week.
Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
