As a Parking Security Guard in a hospital setting, scheduled foot patrolling and physical ability are essential, as you will be moving around your entire shift and patrolling the hospital parkade environment.

Responsibilities for Parking Security Guard

• Foot patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Mobile parking patrols as per post orders and as instructed by supervisor
• Traffic control
• Work as a team and report to the onsite supervisor
• Provide escorts for visitors and issue passes for appropriate areas
• Ensure all doors are closed and vacant areas have lights off
• Maintain a safe and secure environment
• Provide active response, assist EMS, Fire Watch, pressurized systems, and chemical spills
• Follow the employee work alone process
• G-Track patrolling as per site orders
• Park at designated spots between patrols
• Perform vehicle inspections at the start and end of shifts
• Document/report issues using electronic devices
• Adhere to all company standards and site orders

Qualifications for Parking Security Guard

• Authorized to work in Canada
• Valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to foot patrol entire shift
• Able to use a personal vehicle
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• 1-2 years of experience as a security guard in customer-facing roles
• High school education or equivalent
• Parking facility for personal car is not available
