As a Data Centre Security Guard, there is a high focus on customer service, scheduled patrol, access card issuance, and writing reports, since you will be working with people all shift in a Data Centre environment.

Responsibilities for Data Centre Security Guard
- Customer service duties like welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors
- Manage access control of entry ways and exit points using equipment at your disposal
- Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks
- Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
- Answer questions in person or by phone
- Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
- Maintain a safe and secure environment
- Issue access cards to visitors and employees
- Enforce property regulations and city bylaws on the client's site
- Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
- Complete daily reports and incident reports
Qualifications for Data Centre Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Manitoba security license
- First aid certification an asset
- Proficient in basic phone and computer skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
- Be able to work overnights
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
- No parking facility at the site
