Job summary

Forma Steel in Fort Macleod, Alberta is hiring a Pallet Builder to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble pallets to product specifications, operate hand and power tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area during a Monday-Friday shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm.

The ideal candidate will be able to read and write in English, perform basic math with imperial and metric measurements, and work well within a team. We value reliability, safety, and a strong work ethic in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience using basic hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Basic math skills and ability to read imperial and metric measurements.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform duties (lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, stand/walk/bend).
• Aptitude to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pallets based on finished product dimensions.
• Maintain a clean work area during shift.
• Use hand and power tools to complete builds.
• Perform routine maintenance and report tool/machine issues.
• Follow all health and safety procedures for safe work.
• Assist with other duties to keep shop running smoothly.

Forma Steel manufactures steel roofing, siding, trim, and custom panels in a variety of gauges, colors, and finishes. We manufacture our product in Fort Macleod, Alberta, approximately 25 minutes West of Lethbridge.

We are currently looking to hire the following position in our Forma Steel facility.

As a Pallet Builder, you will:

• Assemble pallets based on the finished products dimensions.
• Maintain a clean work area through the duration of a shift.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete builds
• Perform routine maintenance and report any tool or machine issues.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, ensuring they focus on performing work in a safe manner.
• Help keep the shop running smoothly with other duties as assigned.

Our Pallet Builders have:

• Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
• Basic math skills and ability to use both imperial and metric measuring tapes.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform their job safely (lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly, stand, walk, bend for full shift).
• Aptitude to work in a manufacturing environment.
