Job summary

Forma Steel is seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our night shift and help move materials, prepare customer orders for shipment, and support production flow at the Fort Macleod facility. The ideal candidate has forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts safely, loading and staging orders, transporting materials to workstations, assisting with receiving and inventory, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• Ability to safely handle heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and stage customer orders accurately for shipment
• Transport steel materials and coils throughout the production floor to support manufacturing operations
• Ensure materials are delivered to the correct workstations in a timely manner
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and inventory control of raw materials and finished goods
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
• Work collaboratively with production and shipping teams to meet daily targets
• Other production duties as required (banding, wrapping, and labeling)

Forma Steel creates steel roofing, siding, trim & custom panels in a variety of gauges, colors, and finishes. We manufacture our product in Fort Macleod, AB, just 25 minutes west of Lethbridge, AB.

We are currently looking to hire the following position in our Forma Steel facility:

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM
