Job summary

Marshall Land Systems in Moncton, NB, is seeking a Painter to join our team. This role supports the Fitter B – Paint in preparing containers and components for painting, under supervision, and may mask, tape, mix and apply surface coatings.

You will perform prep work such as masking, sanding and blasting, assist with primer and paint application, and ensure adherence to health and safety policies. Some shifts and overtime may be required to meet manufacturing demands.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional paint spraying role preferred.
  • Commitment to high quality workmanship and safety.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision after training.

Responsibilities

  • Prep work on containers and components: masking, taping, sanding, blasting.
  • Under supervision, mix primer and paint and apply coatings.
  • Assist with paint application and ensure compliance with specs.
  • Prepare parts and shields to time, cost and quality.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and shop procedures.

Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Painter to join our team in Moncton, NB. This position supports the Fitter B – Paint in the preparation of containers and components for painting. Under supervision, the Fitter C – Paint may mask, tape, mix and apply surface coatings.

Your responsibilities in this role
  • Responsible for prep work on containers and components including but not limited to: masking, taping, sanding, and blasting, as appropriate.
  • Under supervision, may mix, primer and paint, in accordance with paint manufacture’s specifications.
  • Under supervision, may assist with paint application.
  • Apply undercoating Prepare parts and shelters to time, cost and quality.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Work in accordance with paint shop procedures (Housekeeping and good working practices).
  • Due to projected manufacturing demands, there may be a requirement to work shifts and overtime, when required.
  • Assist other departments including assembly and warehouse, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, Fire and Environment issues.
  • Proven experience in a professional paint spraying role, preferred.
  • Commitment to high quality workmanship.
  • Able to work well within a team and, following training, with minimal supervision.
  • Progressing toward Red Seal, Autobody Painter preferred.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and instructions.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.95 commensurate on qualifications and work experience.
