Job summary

Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Moncton, NB to support supplier development and ongoing management of supplier relationships. You will ensure supplier quality through controls and effective resolution of non-conformances.

You will conduct first article inspections, supplier audits, manage KPI data, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure deliverables meet specifications and contractual conditions. Travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience in an ISO9001/14001 manufacturing facility or company.
  • Proven quality assurance experience.
  • Ability to travel is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proven Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality standards and testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing including 5S, Kanban and SMED.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly diagrams.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge of IFS is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct First Article Inspection Planning.
  • Conduct supplier audits per the audit schedule (product/process, capability, planning, part/component certifications, inspections).
  • Identify priorities, schedule and ensure completion of internal audits to meet relevant regulations, standards and compliance to the QMS.
  • Collate and distribute KPI data per pre-determined escalation points.
  • Use KPI trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Schedule and conduct Supplier Audits.
  • Manage supplier product Non-Conformity Handling.
  • Ensure compliance to processes, procedures, policies, and work instructions as part of the QMS.
  • Review and accept Supplier Quality Plans, ensuring they meet contractual conditions.
  • Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s.
  • Schedule, conduct and manage supplier audits.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractor representatives to ensure that all deliverables meet the approved specification and resolve issues.
  • Establish and maintain a Supplier Monitoring program based on a business risk assessment approach.
  • Manage supplier non-conformity handling (includes RMA).
  • Train quality team and stakeholders on the QMS, processes, and other quality related items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Moncton, NB. Reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager, the Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting the development and ongoing management of supplier relationships.

This role ensures that suppliers meet all required quality standards through the implementation and verification of appropriate quality controls, as well as the effective resolution of non-conformances.

Your responsibilities in this role:

  • Post secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge gained through other forms of education or training.
  • Experience working in an ISO9001/14001 certified manufacturing facility or company.
  • Proven experience in a quality assurance role.
  • Ability to travel is essential.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, superior organizational abilities, and excellent computer skills.
  • Proven experience as Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality standards and testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, Assembly diagrams.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection principles.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge of IFS is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 commensurate on qualifications and work experience.
