Job summary

The General Laborer - Packer at Centennial Food Solutions in Richmond, BC handles inspection, packaging, labeling, and preparation of protein products in line with quality and food-safety standards. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, food processing, or packaging experience is considered an asset but is not required.
• Willingness to work with raw meat and protein products.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated or cold production environment.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move products and materials weighing 30 lbs. or more.
• Physical stamina and fitness to perform repetitive tasks and prolonged standing.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety, and food safety standards.
• Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Inspect protein products to ensure they meet quality standards prior to packaging.
• Vacuum seal products and place them into appropriate customer packaging.
• Verify product weight, description, lot information, and dates are accurately recorded on labels.
• Ensure all packaging is properly sealed and free from tears, damage, leaks, or visual contamination.
• Confirm product quality and date accuracy before processing and packaging.
• Package products according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Follow all company policies, quality assurance procedures, and workplace safety protocols.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules and operational targets.
• Assist with product handling, movement, and other production-related tasks as required.
• Communicate quality, safety, or equipment concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
