Job summary

Intercity Packers Ltd. is seeking a Production Worker for our Richmond, BC facility. The role covers preparation, assembly and packing of meat/seafood products in a fast-paced, cold environment.

You will report to the Production Supervisor and work Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, earning $20.75 per hour with weekly pay. Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, performing weight checks and labeling, and assisting with equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a colder environment.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting procedures.
• Ability to operate required production equipment safely.
• Basic computer skills for production logs or scans.
• Clear verbal and listening communication abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe worksite before, during, and after production.
• Rack frozen meat on racks for defrosting and transfer to processing areas.
• Sort and weigh meat products, label items, and ensure packaging integrity.
• Support loading/unloading and transport of products on conveyors.
• Follow the production schedule and report quality issues per HACCP/CFIA rules.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Worker may be responsible for preparing, assembling, or packing our products at our Richmond location. Position

Position: Full-Time, Permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Salary: $20.75/hr (paid on weekly basis!) Location: Richmond, BC

Duties & Responsibilities

• Constantly maintain a clean and safe worksite before, during, and after production activities
• Racking frozen meat on racks for defrosting
• Picking meat products from cooler to cut
• Weighing up meat products and labelling
• Safely load, unload, and transfer products to and from equipment or conveyors
• Product quality checks: specification, packaging, produce, seal integrity
• Dispose of garbage including boxes and bags
• Report any quality defects during production
• Follow and complete the production schedule
• Commitment to Food Safety by adhering to HACCP and CFIA hygiene rules / sanitary work practices
• Other duties as assigned
