Job summary

Tilray Brands, Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking a Packaging Technician to handle the packaging and palletizing of finished products, operate packaging equipment, and prepare materials for production.

You will maintain clean, sanitized work areas and record production data in accordance with GMP and HACCP standards. Ideally you have prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, plus familiarity with pallet jacks or forklifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production line environment an asset – food preferred.
• Experience in processing and machine operation an asset.
• Experience in pallet jack or forklift operation an asset or willing to train.
• Organized and detailed orientated.
• Understanding of GMP and HACCP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Package and palletize finished products.
• Sort packages to in boxes or trays.
• Operates packaging equipment ensuring efficiency standards are met.
• Ensures materials and supplies are ready and staged prior for production run.
• Transport product to warehouse using pallet jack or forklift.
• Ensure quality and operational checks are completed as required during the production run and reports any deficiencies.
• Maintain all necessary production records and documentation.
• Assists to disassemble, clean, and reassemble various pieces of equipment as needed.
• Keeps work area clean, sanitized and performs general housekeeping as required.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Packaging Technician will be responsible for the packaging and palletizing of finished product and operation of packaging equipment. This position will also be responsible for preparing packaging materials for production run and the cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work area. Adheres to all organizational standards as well as safety regulations and guidelines.
