Job summary

Community Living Sarnia-Lambton is seeking a Night Sleep Counsellor on a rotation basis to provide overnight support for residents in our Residential Services program. The role includes assisting with life plans, behavior support, and safety.

You will collaborate with families, clinicians, and the support team, document carefully, and participate in a quality, home-like living environment. A valid first aid/CPR and a driver’s license are required; starting compensation follows the collective

Qualifications

• Education in developmental disabilities or human services (e.g. SSW, CYW, ECE, FSW, PSW).
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificate, Safe Management Certification.
• Valid driver’s licence and use of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight sleep support for residents as per policy.
• Assist in implementing life plans and behaviour support plans.
• Provide creative supports and activities to promote independence, social participation, and self-care.
• Document data and maintain records in compliance with CLSL policies.
• Advocate for residents' rights and report any concerns.
• Be a positive team member, mentor others, and contribute to a safe home-like environment.
