Job summary

The Salvation Army in Toronto Harbour Light Treatment program seeks an Overnight Floor Counsellor for 27 hours weekly from Friday to Sunday. This role provides professional, safe and structured support to clients, documents interactions, and ensures a secure environment inside the facility.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Human Services or equivalent experience.
• Experience in social services or mental health/addiction recovery is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and crisis management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Model healthy life skills and socialization for clients.
• Provide resident support and enforce guidelines.
• Monitor client safety and security on floors after hours.
• Distribute medications and supervise urine screens.
• Complete clerical duties and maintain logs and reports.
• Communicate with Program Coordinator and treatment staff as needed.
