New Directions is seeking a Community Resource Worker for awake overnight shifts in a 32-hour weekly, part-time schedule in Winnipeg. The role involves monitoring and securing cluster housing, supporting individuals in crises, and ensuring safety and proper reporting during each shift.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary education in disability services, addictions, mental health, and related fields.

Responsibilities

Monitor and secure housing buildings to ensure the safety of all tenants.
Support individuals through crisis situations, including those in conflict with the law or dealing with addictions.
Ensure visitors do not enter the buildings.
Respond to crisis situations and/or contact 911 if visitors do not leave or in emergencies.
Ensure tenants do not damage the property.
Conduct thorough regular and exit walk-throughs and ensure doors are locked and areas are secure.
Complete detailed reports and shift logs after every shift.
Empower individuals to maintain independent living in a cluster housing model.
