Job summary

Fairmont Banff Springs is seeking an Overnight Front Desk Reception Agent to join a dynamic team delivering outstanding hospitality and memorable guest experiences. The role covers check-in, guest requests, night audit procedures, shift coverage, and assisting with the switchboard, with an emphasis on professional service.

Starting at $21.31 per hour, with increases after six months and at three years, the position offers growth and a comprehensive benefits package through Fairmont.

Qualifications

• Experience as Night Audit or Front Desk Reception is an asset.
• PMS/OPERA CLOUD experience is an asset.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written); a second language is an asset.
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Willing to work varied shifts including holidays, weekends, mornings and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check in and settle guest accounts while ensuring service standards are followed.
• Document guest requests or issues and notify the designated department for resolution; follow up for guest satisfaction.
• Conduct Night Audit procedures.
• Assist in monitoring the switchboard and responding to calls via multiple channels.
• Maintain personal cash float and assist guests with transactions and currency exchange.
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in a helpful way.
• Respond to guests at the Reception Desk.
• Drive rate through up-selling room brands.
• The role involves standing, bending, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned.
