The Opportunity:

Scope of the Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is centered on developing and maintaining strong client relationships within the commercial refrigeration and food service equipment sectors. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping businesses find the right solutions for their kitchen and cooling needs while driving sales growth across our product lines. While HVAC-R knowledge is valuable, this role will have a primary emphasis on refrigeration systems and food equipment applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with professionals in the refrigeration and foodservice equipment industries, including restaurants, grocery chains, convenience stores, and food production facilities.
  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial refrigeration and food equipment market.
  • Provide consultative sales support by offering technical insights and product recommendations that align with customer needs and operational goals.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits to understand client operations, present new solutions, and resolve concerns effectively.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, new product innovations, and compliance requirements in the refrigeration and foodservice space.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations, clearly explaining features, benefits, and ROI.
  • Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate sales records, customer interactions, and pipeline activity.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals while maintaining strong margins.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as customer service, procurement, and logistics to ensure excellent client support.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to support client needs and attend relevant trade shows or events.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the refrigeration or commercial food equipment industries.
  • Solid technical knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems, food equipment, or cold storage solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and close deals.
  • Proactive, self-driven attitude with a focus on achieving measurable results.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent productivity tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel locally.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

What We Offer:

The target salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 CAD. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate's relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
