Location: Remote

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Overview:

As we expand our business and open new markets, we seek an enthusiastic and motivated individual for our sales department. Working under our Director of Sales, this role requires a home office with frequent travel (approximately 50% annually) across Atlantic provinces and Canada to coordinate sales channels and market our branded beef. The position can be based in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick, not necessarily in PEI.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with food service distributor partners across Atlantic Canada and support restaurant and distributor sales meetings.
  • Build brand sales and promotions with retail independent meat shops.
  • Develop marketing activities to increase brand awareness among manufacturing, retail, and foodservice clients. Assist with social media content.
  • Build trust and strong relationships with customers.
  • Conduct in-store demos to showcase Atlantic Beef Products and share our story.
  • Organize and deliver training programs to end users to promote product knowledge.
  • Participate in trade shows as needed.
  • Develop new business and maintain existing relationships.
  • Manage sales orders, margins, shipping, freight costs, and feedback on order errors. Assist with accounts receivable.
  • Work closely with management to meet and exceed company targets.
  • Support sales projects and collaborate with Shipping, Grind, and Cut departments.
  • Occasional overnight travel to visit stores and restaurants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in foodservice distribution sales, retail butchery, or related sales roles.
  • Good knowledge of the beef industry and cuts.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Bilingual in French/English is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with chefs, owners, distributors, and meat managers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Dedicated to customer service, especially during delivery delays or issues.
  • Experience with social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.
  • Reliable vehicle; company reimburses mileage and approved travel expenses.
