Job summary

ECCO Supply in Calgary is seeking an Outside Sales Associate to drive new HVAC business and service existing customers through face-to-face calls, email, phone and virtual interactions. You will manage pricing, maintain records, and meet or exceed branch sales and expense budgets.

The role requires 3+ years of outside sales in building materials or HVAC, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll attend industry shows, report market feedback, and collaborate with inside sales to

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to queries and disputes; provide accurate quotations.
• Maintain electronic records of leads and customers; grow market share.
• Forecast, plan, and evaluate sales strategies; meet budgets.

Job description

The Outside Sales Associate is responsible for conducting sales calls in the field via face-to-face, email, phoneand virtual interactions with both potential and existing customers. The Outside Sales Associate will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contacting new customers and developing new profitable HVAC business
• Attend and respond all queries, disputes, etc. promptly
• Provide timely, accurate and competitive pricing via written quotations while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and growing market share
• Maintain electronic records of all sales leads and/or customers while expanding and maintaining a customer database
• Conduct business in a moral and ethical manner
• Forecasting, developing, maintaining and evaluating sales strategies
• Meet personal, branch sales and expense budgets
• Take sales training and product knowledge courses as recommended or as deemed necessary
• Attend industry trade shows approved by ECCO Supply management
• Participate in annual branch physical inventory
• Report and provide continuous market feedback to the inside sales team and management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ Years of outside sales experience in the building materials industry or an equivalent combination of two years of HVAC sales, education, training, and experience
• Experience in HVAC rooftop unit sales is an asset
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Residential HVAC systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive demeanor and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize important tasks and meet deadlines
• Work with a high degree of integrity and a sense of urgency
• A current driver’s License and clean driving abstract
