Job summary

Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) seeks a Manager, CFS - Adaptation to lead outreach activities shaping the Green Municipal Fund’s climate adaptation initiatives across Canada. You will guide the Local Leadership for Climate Adaptation and engage municipal leaders, NGOs and industry partners to accelerate project development and funding uptake.

You will oversee a skilled team, develop robust outreach processes, and ensure timely, high-quality client service from inquiry to funding

Qualifications

• University degree in Environmental Sciences or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive client engagement experience.
• At least 2 years of staff management experience.
• Ability to work in both official languages (English and French).
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coaching to Outreach team to ensure client needs are met and funding readiness.
• Develop outreach strategies, allocate resources, set objectives and monitor performance.
• Review and update SOPs for senior management approval.
• Build and maintain networks with municipal officials, administrations, NGOs and industry partners.
• Manage the prospect pipeline in the CRM to support planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with CFS managers to ensure a high-quality client experience across all funding stages.
• Contribute to research, needs assessment and knowledge of sustainability best practices.
